Distribution Center Associate

Position Overview:

Advance Auto Parts is looking for dedicated and hardworking DC Associates to join our distribution center team. As a Material Handler / Freight Handler, you will play a crucial role in warehouse operations by handling inventory, preparing shipments, and ensuring that auto parts are delivered accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Order Processing:

• Pick, stage, and prepare auto parts for store replenishment and shipment.
• Label and mark pallets with identifying store information for organized tracking.

Warehouse Equipment & Technology Use:

• Operate lift equipment, pallet jacks, and forklifts (training and certification provided).
• Utilize a hand-held radio frequency (RF) scanner to track and manage inventory.

Shipping & Receiving:

• Assist in loading and unloading trucks to keep warehouse operations efficient.
• Ensure all inventory items are stored securely and properly to prevent damage.

General Warehouse Duties:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and operational guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with teammates and supervisors to meet warehouse goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately pick, label, and track inventory.
• Physical Stamina: Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs., standing, and moving for extended periods.
• Warehouse Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in material handling or logistics is a plus.
• Team Player: Work well with colleagues and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to Safety: Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies at all times.
