Forklift Operator

Position Overview:

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling inventory, operating a variety of powered industrial equipment, and ensuring all warehouse activities are conducted safely and accurately. This position is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation & Safety

• Safely operate forklifts, squeeze clamps, man-up order selectors, and floor scrubbers to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while operating equipment to prevent accidents or product damage.
• Conduct daily equipment safety inspections to ensure machinery is in proper working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.

Inventory Handling & Warehouse Operations

• Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring all inventory is moved safely and stored properly.
• Use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track, scan, and manage inventory accurately.
• Physically handle and transport items, including heavy products weighing over 75 pounds as needed.
• Ensure products are correctly picked, placed, and stored to maintain a well-organized warehouse.

Inventory Management & Accuracy

• Perform periodic inventory counts to verify stock levels and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments using company systems.
• Assist with warehouse organization to optimize workflow and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Prior experience operating forklifts or other industrial equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
