Job Summary:

We are seeking a full-time, results-driven Electronic Security Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide service and support to our customers by responding to service calls, performing scheduled maintenance, and assisting with small projects. This position offers a growth-oriented environment where you can enhance your skills while contributing to the success of Convergint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency service calls, diagnosing and resolving equipment or software issues.
• Install, configure, and support electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
• Perform preventive maintenance on installed systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customers and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety policies.
• Collaborate with team members to improve overall operations and share technical knowledge.
• Participate in Convergint’s Recruit Awesome People program by referring top talent to the organization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills related to electronic security systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and maintenance.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to job sites; minimal overnight travel required.

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with CCTV Systems (Milestone, Genetec).
• Experience with Access Control Systems (AMAG, Lenel, Genetec, Software House - CCURE, S2).
• Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (DMP, Bosch).
